Social Media

Running a game's public channels: what gets posted, when, in which voice, and what comes back from it.

Social media work in games is editorial and operational at once. It means owning a calendar across several platforms, each with its own formats and etiquette, writing in a voice that belongs to the title rather than to a brand template, and judging which moments out of development are worth showing at all.

The channels are also where a game gets its loudest feedback, so the job includes reading replies, spotting a brewing issue early and handing it to the people who can answer it. Reporting closes the loop: reach, engagement and click-through say which format earns its production time.

Postings usually pair it with content creation, community management, influencer relations and marketing. A community manager works inside the player community, while social media faces the open timeline, where most readers are not players yet.
