UI/UX Design

Designing how a game is understood and operated: flows, screens, input, readability and the testing behind them.

UI/UX design in games covers both halves of its name. The UX half structures what a player has to understand and in which order: onboarding, information hierarchy, feedback for every action, and the paths through menus, stores and settings. The UI half makes that structure visible, with type, spacing, iconography and states.

Game constraints shape the result. One layout has to work with gamepad focus, touch and mouse, scale from a handheld screen to a television, survive translation into longer languages, and stay readable while the game keeps moving behind it.

The craft moves between wireframes, engine prototypes and user research, because an argument about a flow is settled by watching someone use it. Postings pair it with Photoshop and with engine work in Unity or Unreal; where the title says UI artist, the emphasis shifts from structure to visual style.
