Influencer Relations

Influencer relations is the work with creators who cover a game: finding them, briefing them, and keeping the relationship after the campaign.

The job starts with selection. Reach is the least useful number; whether an audience overlaps with the game, and whether the creator's tone fits it, decides whether a campaign does anything. From there it is outreach, briefing, contracts, keys and builds, embargoes and the review of what goes out.

Disclosure rules and platform guidelines are part of the craft, not a legal afterthought, and a sponsored video that hides it damages both sides.

The long game matters more than the campaign. Creators who get early access, honest answers and no pressure to be positive come back for the next release. Community management owns the players, PR owns the press, and influencer relations owns the people in between. Budgets follow the same logic: a smaller creator with an audience that matches the game usually returns more than a large one who covers everything.
