Brand Manager

Brand managers own what a game stands for in the market: positioning, the campaign message, and the consistency of both across every channel and partner.

The role sits between publishing and marketing. Campaign planning around announcements, beta phases and launch beats, agency and partner coordination, asset approval, budget ownership, and the reporting that shows whether a beat moved anything.

Game brands run for years, so maintaining a franchise matters as much as launching a title: keeping an identity recognisable through sequels, seasons and spin-offs, and deciding which audience each beat speaks to. Influencer relations, social media and esports belong to the work wherever the brand lives in those spaces.

The neighbours split by scope. A marketing manager executes campaigns and channels. A product manager owns the product and its roadmap. A PR manager owns press and editorial relations. Brand management sits above the channel work and below publishing strategy, which is why the title also appears as publishing or product director in larger structures.
