Motion Graphics
Animated graphics around a game: trailers, store assets, advertising creatives and the moving parts of a user interface.
This skill shows up in two places. In marketing it means trailers, cut-downs for each platform's ad formats, store capsules and the playable or video creatives that user acquisition teams test against each other - After Effects and Premiere Pro are the named tools, often with gameplay capture as the raw material. In product work it means the motion side of an interface: transitions, reward sequences and the small confirmations that make a menu feel responsive, handed over as spec, as Lottie or rebuilt in the engine.
Postings expect a reel, an eye for timing and easing, and enough pipeline knowledge to deliver in the frame rates, aspect ratios and file sizes each destination demands. Sound is frequently part of the delivery.
2D Animation covers character and asset animation inside the game; Video Editing covers cutting footage. This skill is about graphics that move on purpose.
