Dovetail Games
Studio in the Historic Dockyard at Chatham that builds simulation games, above all the Train Sim World series.
Dovetail Games makes what it calls digital hobbies: simulations that recreate a real activity closely enough that players treat it as a pastime rather than as a game. The best known of them is the Train Sim World series, which runs on PC and consoles and is extended with routes and locomotives released as add-ons, among them a Thomas & Friends collaboration with Mattel.
The studio sits in a riverfront building in the Historic Dockyard at Chatham in Kent and gives its size as around 170 people. Alongside its own titles it publishes other developers’ work, for instance the console edition of CATAN.
