Midjourney

Midjourney appears in art postings as an exploration tool: generating references and variations early, when the question is still what something could look like.

Where it is used, it is used at the front of the process. Mood boards, silhouette and colour variations, quick references for a shape nobody has drawn yet. The value is in how many directions can be looked at before anyone commits, not in producing a finished asset, because the output will not match a project's style guide or its technical requirements on its own.

What studios test for is judgement rather than prompt tricks: knowing which generated image is actually useful, and being able to take an idea from it into a proper piece of work. Rights, provenance and whether generated material may appear in a shipped product are decisions each studio makes, and they belong in the conversation early.

Concept Art is the discipline this serves. Other generators do the same job with different models, and postings naming one usually mean the practice rather than the brand.
