Events Coordinator
An events coordinator plans and runs the events around a game: tournaments, showcases, launch parties and trade fair appearances, from the schedule to the moment it actually happens.
The work splits into planning and delivery. Planning means venues, suppliers, budgets, schedules, travel, permits and the running order that everyone else works from. Delivery means being there while it runs and solving the problems the plan did not anticipate, which is most of what distinguishes a good event from a chaotic one.
In games this often means competitive play: brackets, broadcast schedules, player and team logistics, and the stage production that sits between a match and the audience watching it. Other events are built around a release, a trade fair or a community meet-up, with press and creators to accommodate.
An Esports Manager runs a competitive programme as an ongoing operation. A Community Manager works in the channels year-round. The events coordinator owns the dates themselves and everything that has to be in place by then.
