Indie Games
Indie games means production at small scale: short chains of decision, wide roles and a budget that has to reach the finish line.
The tag describes the conditions of the work, not a genre. Teams are small enough that one person covers several disciplines, so a posting that names it usually asks for breadth - an artist who also rigs, a programmer who also designs, a producer who also handles the store page. Decisions are made in the room and in a day, and the person who had the idea is often the one who builds it.
That cuts both ways. There is more ownership and less waiting, and there is also less around you: no dedicated tools team, no pipeline that someone else maintains, no second opinion on a hard call. Money and time are finite in a way that shows up in daily choices, and shipping is the only outcome that counts.
It says nothing about the engine, the platform or the kind of game. Those appear as separate tags on the same posting.
